FYI, Earthquake in Japan causes delay at MV.

So just incase any of you have been waiting around for the Non-slip Corse Seat from MV, it is on hold for testing. That neoprene material came from 1 factory in Japan, the only factory that made it. The last Corse seat sent to the U.S. came in January. I ordered mine in like April. The factory in Japan was destroyed so no more Corse seats. They have gone to a new company and the seat is being tested. I just got off the phone with Marco in Customer Service and he will keep me updated by e-mail as to when they will be available. Want this seat, I'm about to put velcro on the stock one. Oh well, shit happens.

I think just the rubber....seat will be assembled in Italy.

Like so many other things, the suppliers for base components were affected by the earthquake/tsunami.

We had a big problem with some electrical parts that used circuit board components from that area....mad scramble to find new suppliers and do QA certification and such. Really screwed up the supply chain.

I used to be fast....now I just dream about it.

Yep, just the non-slip material that the seat is made of. At least I have an answer, it's been 3 months with "I don't know's" from the dealer. I went on the site, found customer service number, added Int'l calling to my phone plan for $3 a month, now I can call em for 9 cents a min. Problem solved. Well, I still don't have a seat but at least I know why.

Should be August. Which sucks cuz I'm in Italy in august. Ducati is closed from the 1st to 28th as per their website. For MV, I was going to follow up with some folks I know to confirm, but basically think they won't be open either.
