Are 990r stock tyres OK for a track day?

Gonna get my 990R to Brands Hatch GP circuit and Donington GP circuit in 2 weeks time ... stock tyres are 190/55 Pirelli Diablo Rosso and I am wondering if they are fine for what I expect will be at least middle of the inters group. First time for the Brute on track so not really sure of the pace I'll get to once I get dialled in ... got a couple of sets of Metzler Racetecs with K2 180/55 rears if necessary!

No problem, so long as they are in good condition, and not too squared off from street riding, or too old an hard.

they'll be fine, just run pressure at 31 psi cold & give them a lap to warm up. My mate does 2 mins flat at Phillip Is. on those tyres, which is ok for medium group.

Yeah, they're good tyres. I use Pirelli Rosso Corsas on my R1, They're even stickier. My last set lasted 11000 k's including 2 track days at fast group pace.
