Newbie Here: Have a Question About a Used 1078RR

So as the title suggests, I'm a newbie here who has been lurking for some time. I've learned a ton and have found the search to be especially helpful.

I'm considering my next bike and the shortlist includes a Brutale, Streetfighter, Hypermotard and a new Speed Triple. I know none of the others are as exclusive as the Brutale nor do they have the same personality... As they say, go with the one that stirs the soul the most. I'm guessing the Brutale is going to do that for me!

I have my eye on a couple of used Brutale's -- a 07 910R and a 09 1078RR. I've decided I will be happy with either although the 1078 causes my heart to stutter each time I see one. The 1078 that I have my eye on has approximately 900 miles on it and has a scratch on the tank and some cosmetic damage to the body work beneath the seat. All can be forgiven for the right price!

The one issue I'm not comfortable with is the radiator piping has some major discoloration. Is this normal? I asked the seller who is a MV dealer and they don't seem to know... It's a dark purple color with some blotching. I've attached a picture for your review.

I'm hoping to have a new bike in the next week or two. Hopefully I will have an MV to add to the registry. Thank you in advance for any insight or guidance.

My 09 1078 coolant pipe looked exactly the same after 400 miles. It was replaced under warranty with a black pipe. Apparently, MV is not using the bronze color pipe anymore.

Thank you for the warm welcome -- much appreciated. Chiller works just fine...

I appreciate the feedback. I'm a bit less concerned now that I know it's a simple swap. Well, I've learned there is nothing simple with an MV so I guess I'll be waiting for said pipe for 6-9 months...

Going to do some test rides this Friday -- hope to have a decision made by the weekend that will then allow me to start negotiating my deal. The 1078RR that I referenced seems to be a good deal so we'll see. Thanks again for the help.

Chiller: You need to meet R1Andrew, a fellow South Carolinian, and you need to plan to come to the Bubbalicious in October in Georgia.......
