rear tire rubbing silencers?

removed the silencers today, and noticed the following
scratches/polish on the lower silencer, where the rear tire
is closest.

i checked the tire and it does not drag while in the rear stand.
should i be worried about play in the rear axel?
it could also just be from excess rubber accumulating at the edge
during track days.

Pretty sure it's from trackdays, happened to me before.

Should have plenty of clearance, unless your mounting bracket isn't straight or spacers are missing. Add some spacers on the hanger to move it out a few millimeters. My pipes are close but no where near close enough to contact the tire edge. And I have done track days with a variety of tire brands, all 190/55 rear.

I used to be fast....now I just dream about it.

that is exactly what i did. and there is no free play, which
allows one to push the silencer to touch the rear tire.

Thumbs up clearance?

is your muffler mounted on the outside of the rubber mount? where its supposed to be?

the outer stainless piece goes through the muffler bracket, the threaded alloy piece goes through the rubber mount....

if so you'll have ~14mm clearance ....on a 190x55 Pirelli

only 7 mm clearance for me. i have thin fingers
but i can not even squeeze the small finger in between.
on the other hand measured the width of the tire to be 200 mm,
which is 10 mm wider than supposed to be (Pirelli Diablo
Rosso Corsa 190/55)

so if the tire would have a correct width, the clearance will
also be ~12 mm.

Tire sizes are nominal and vary with tire models and manufacturers, they even vary depending on what the width of the wheel is that it's mounted on.

The tire isn't incorrect.
