Stargazing. Someone sell me a brutale-

I want badly to join this club. I've recently rediscovered how fascinating the brutale is.
And as far as I know, the MV forum is the only one with a option (for good reason).

Leaving an sv650, I want to jump in at least at a 910. Color scheme is of no real import, maybe I'd lean toward black frame. Mileage is not critical, as long as the bike is decently taken care of, it's all sugar honey to me. I live in DC - don't mind making a trip, as long as it's not farther than Texas-ish (1200 miles). So essentially the entire east coast.

To be upfront, I only have around 6600 to spend, give or take a few hundred. This may be a limit, but opportunism is relative.

I've looked for the 'for sale' section, but after working for ten days straight, it is hard to find.

Hope this is enough info. Looking forward to getting to know you all in the community!

Send a pm to yamadogr1. He may have one for sale. But at $6600 you are looking at a 910s not R.

I was thinking the S is more my ballpark.

Honestly, 6600 would be optimal distance from home, i.e. walking; + low milage on the bike. I've been looking for about three weeks now (CL and all that), and it doesn't seem like I can bank on local. There was a 750 local, but, ya know...

Since you fellows are much more experienced than I am, IYO, is there a marked difference between R and S in ride/fun factor that would make me want an R?

Dude, find the $400. That's a deal.

Marty, let me know if he doesn't buy it.

Trust me, for better or worse - i.e. my last landlord who disappeared with my deposit. I absolutely hate moving.

Cool

and you are right to stay on the east coast, as out west you won't find one under $8k

And it appears two others that were up last week are gone.

Agreed. I would have been all over this one when I was looking. $7k for an R sounds like a steal.
