Corse mufflers exhaust question.

Sorry for yet another exhaust question...

I am looking at only putting on the Corse mufflers and was wondering - would this require an updated ECU?
If so would it be the same as this one (comes with the full kit/decatalized linkpipe)

If don't update the ECU could I be damaging the bike riding with free flowing mufflers?

Probably no need if you don't remove the catalytic converter. If you do the de-cat and the mufflers you will need the ECU.

Will run very lean without. No so much so with Cat still in place. Shouldn't damage anything, but may get a bit more after fire on decel, the 02 sensor will prevent too lean a mixture at low speed and idle.

Do it (the entire system with ECU)...It really transforms the bike all the way around.

I used to be I just dream about it.

Thanks for the reply, was thinking of this as a half way setup while I save up for the full system.
