Airfuel does his magic

Just got back from his dyno center. He threw on the PC on my 910 R and custom mapped it. What a great and knowlegable bike nut. You know you can always trust a wrench who has track shredded rubber on his bike.
Stock HP: 113.7 Stock Torque: 58.9
PC HP: 121 PC Torque: 63
That is running the factory full exhaust, chip and BMC filter. It was running WAY rich with the chip before the tweak.
I am also getting about a couple more MPG. But man, is the throttle response smooth and sweet now.
If you live in the NY Tri State area and have not been there, you are missing out.
We were also sound comparing his full Ti system with the MV supplied Inox one and the Ti sounds so much more beefy while being a bit louder. As expected.

He really is and loves MVs. As I was leaving he was redynoing a stock 910 because he wanted to see why it was putting out more HP stock than all the others he had dynoed. Just for the hell of it. Cool or what?
Yeah, i wasn't after more ponies, plenty stupid for the street as is, the throttle response being
nice and progressive is what I wanted and got.

Yes Matt! I had nightmares all night and I had to get to the bottom of it. Sadly I have to say you just have one hell of a strong bike!!!

BUT....... I cursed my bike, strapped it down on the dyno and did some pulls and map tweaks. Comparisons showed the following: Your bike puts out great peak HP but lacks a little down low. I think your cams are degreed great for peak power.

look at the overlay of yours and mine. I have much more tq and hp down low, plus I got some more peak power, Cooler temps help somewhat.

I'm at almost 127 hp and have a 9 hp advantage and 8 foot pounds of torque advantage at 5400 rpm. My goal is 130 rear wheel HP!!

In other words, ENJOY YOUR BIKE!!!!

John, thx for the post...the temp then is the other key variable which makes sense. But...the stock hp number seems to have remained constant...the pc appears to be generating more hp?

PC will generate more HP if the a/f ratio is out. Most see the best gains at part throttle where the ratio is most off.

MV's run rich and leaning them out to normal will generate more HP.

All new to me...and interesting. I guess the takeaway is that with 7-8hp pc gains the factory mapping is a mess
