2nd temp sender location on 1078?

Anyone know where the second temperature sender unit is on a 1078? There must be two, as the obvious one next to the thermostat housing (near no.1 exhaust), does not control the temp guage (disconnecting it does not change the temp guage reading). Just can't find another one anywhere. The parts catalogue indicates one other water/oil temp unit, but it looks to be in the airbox?! The workshop manual only indicates the one next to thermo housing.

one oil, one water, one air (combined with pressure) indeed in the airbox.

Just had a look - I think I miss understood you hb - actually i didn't say it right, I meant a second "water temperature" sender. The one in the air box is an air sensor, eventhough the parts manual lists it as water/oil temp sensor.

These are the only "water/oil temp" sensors listed in parts manual:

The obvious one (mine actually has 4 wires coming out of it):

and the air one:

Can't find an oil temp sensor, but surely that's not controlling the temp guage?
