Engine Swap issue, please help!

I am trying to swap an 2007 1000r motor in an 06 Brutale 910r and the ecu's are different. The Brutie has the chip style and the F4 has the one with the cam timing sensor on the valve cover. I wouldn't think mv would change all the sensor bosses for the different years cause the motors are ease essentially the same. Anybody ever tried to do this? They are saying I have to swap the whole wiring harness if not more and the engines control systems are totally incompatible. They also say if he f4 moto didn't have the cam timing sensor and was the older style it would be damned near plug and play. Are these motors really totally incompatible? Could I do this with a new aftermarket ecu? Anybody got an old style 1000cc build upfor sale if so? HELP!!

U need ECU plus harness matched to the engine.

Issues are ebs, secondary air system, Headlight connectors may be different on the Brute
