Unhappy fuel/750s

Hi all.

I have a 750S which is a great bike to ride.

The only problem i have is with the fueling. Was only getting around 130kms. Spark plugs were black & can smell the fuel.

So i had a epron chip installled which work great. No fuel smell and better fuel range (but only to 160kms).But that lasted for 2/3 weeks.
And then the bike was running even worse.

So back to shop.Replaced the old chip, & added a power command and had the bike tune to run very lean.
So now the bike is still getting around 160kms in fuel. But running to hot.And the bike can still play up below 5/6 RPM. But this fix i belive has not solved the real problem of the fueling.

Any info or old post will be much help.

Cheers
dino

I added a power commander to get a better throttle response. This makes it better around town but even then I'm never in top gear under 5K revs. I find their best above 4-5K in any gear. The std gearing is 14/41, which I'm running till the sprockets wear out. I ride mainly winding roads and use the gearbox, I don't get more than 180 KLMS

Hey Dino - my fuel warning light normally comes on around 180km. (that's spirited - but not stupid road riding)....e.g. the daily commute. I'm using standard 91 octane (NZ/Aus)...and she's a stock ECU, no power commander etc.

...just a reference point for you.

Cheers
