1078RR production numbers

Does anybody know how many 1078's were made?
How many were imported to the US?

I read recently that only 50 were brought into USA... if that's true that is a very low number of bikes.

When I bought mine the dealer told me that there were 75 total mv brought into the US for 09.

B750 and B1078 RR both gone now.

Well, it figures that the number we got was anecdotal
Dealers and sales guys tend to be the least informed about their products.

Anybody have a source of verifiable information on the production or import numbers?

BTW cdamb - it's unlikely that Bfranklin made that quote
but it is colorful

If you know some inside people you can get more accurate unofficial info....MV does not import very many bikes to the USA. 50~75 1078 Brutale is probably a very close number. Less than 100 anyway.

I used to be fast....now I just dream about it.

I pulled the trigger on a used 1078 today.

I talked to the manager of the dealership and asked him about production numbers.
Rather than just rattling off a number he called the MV distributer directly.
Haha, they didn't know the exact number but said it was less than 100 total and less than 30 of them were white.
A very rare bike indeed

Less than 100 total produced or less than 100 sold imported to the US? I'm thinking there were many more 1078's produced than 100. Does anybody know total production numbers?
