ECU compatibility...

Hello everybody...
i have just been an owner of a Brutale 750 that some parts are missing one is the ECU.
My question is the following: can i use the ECU of Dugati same type as mine Magnetti Marelli 16M with the only difference that my is IAW 16M AT and the other is IAW 16M A0??? (i know i need to put the chip for brutale 750).
thanks in advanced!!!

Agreed, I don't remember the difference AT to A0 (suspect revisions rather than board changes) but the 16M that I've seen (some Ducati, some Guzzi, some Laverda) were universal.

If not a used ECU you might try something like Jefferies My16M. I talked to him a few years ago about playing with one on the MV:

http://www.jefferies-au.org/MyECU/index.htm

Your 750 details would be
Pickup off crank
Wasted spark two coils
Injectors in two pairs, which the ecu fires every engine revolution. Big difference to the twins is that firing interval would need to be changed from ducati(?)/Guzzi 450/270 to 360/360 on the MV.
If maybe a motec M4: http://www.epicycle.com.au/streetbi.htm

No, sorry. I was specifying the differences if you decided against used and on one of the custom ECU's mentioned

I've checked with Brad Black for you, he should know. I'll relay his reply.

The MV with 16M ECU fires injectors and spark plugs in pairs...as if it is a 2 cylinder bike.

Wasted spark and fuel squirt on alternate cylinders.....the spark thing is no big deal, in line fours have had that for years (2 sets of points and 2 coils)...but I can't help but think the waste fuel injector firing is part of the poor gas mileage and crappy fueling issues.

I used to be fast....now I just dream about it.

ok i think i need to forget this option. Is better to have a joyful riding bike than save 200 euro and have issues on my rides. Thanks for the help!
