Were you traveling via trailer, or did you stow your luggage nearby?

Funny you should ask- this is the first time in seven years of riding to NC that we've trailered our bikes up there. Last November, one of our group wrecked his Speed Triple in turn six at Jennings GP and he has not fixed it yet. That left him with only one bike for this trip- a Suzuki DR-Z 400 Supermoto, which is a great bike to ride at the Gap, just not to the Gap. He actually did ride this Suzuki from FL to NC back in '06, after installing the larger gas tank and changing the sprockets/gearing, but seeing as how he's 6'6" and right at 300 lbs- he swore he'd never do that again. We teased him that he looked like he was wearing a Suzuki thong.

To make his life easier, we loaded up my trailer and took the easy way this year... and it was actually kind of nice. I'll post more pics later.
