Tracking the 990R ...

To track my 990R I have identified the following:
  • Crash bungs front, rear and 2 per side on the frame ..
  • Rearsets (these will possibly do - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...=STRK:MEWAX:IT)
  • I would like protectors for the tank/tail piece where the bits stick out - carbon fibre maybe ??
  • Take the mirrors off
  • Maybe take the headlight off
  • Sticky tyres (I used racetec interacts normally)
  • Does it need a damper?

The power should be enough for my first outing ... how do you think it will compare to my stock gsxr 750 k5 on track ? I am now thinking about spending a bit on the 990R instead of more on the gsxr ..

I just remove my bar-end mirrors Ninja - I'd do nothing until after your first track day on the bike and then decide
