belly pan - need to decat?

hi all - as a newby still trying to work out what bits i want to fit / take off !! really love the look of the stubby and belly pan but cant do it all at once !! do i need to decat before i fit a belly pan ? and do i need to pick exhaust and pipes etc to know which mid pipes to replace the cat with ? also do i need to remap / fit a power commander if i decat or fit an aftermarket pipe ? i know these have prob all been answered before but bear with me !!

You probably will not have to "decat" it to fit the bellypan, but I think it will depend on the brand/style of the pan.

Stock Cans and a de-cat pipe = OK to leave the map as is.
Can't remember where you thinking of an Arrow Stubby which needs a different de-cat pipe (obviously will need a re-map)
My 2 cents - I'd get a decat pipe (improve looks) for the std. cans and money saved for the Microtec ECU - consensus being it will transform your bike




course if you've got the cash get your ECU and Arrow with De-cat pipe for that
