Getting a 2006 Brutale 910, need help?

Hi everyone,
i have an the opportunity to trade my Duc (worth about $7.5k) for a 2006 silver/red brutale 910. it has 6500 miles, in excellent condition, a few after market parts etc. my question is how much do they usually go for? what are the issues encountered with the 2006 model year? was this a good model year?
thanks very much.

Hey Hey Fidelio...nice work - do it!

I ride this very bike, but am based in Sydney, Australia. I cannot comment on the price, but I can let you know that my Brute is freakin awesome!

Many people on here tend to go for the 2008 models of the 910, as they seem to have addressed some stalling and overheating issues etc. I have NEVER had any of these issues with my bike.

I have only had the beasty for 5 months, but can offer the following advice;

- The mirrors will probably need reconsidering (same for all models)
- I would have someone who understand suspension set you up properly...as with all top end bikes; the Brutale has great adjustability, and responds very well to the right set up.
- If you have the bike at 6K rpm and grab a handful - hold on!
- Make sure you track down a good service team...things like fuelling issues and over responsive throttles can be fixed with ease!
- Always wear a full face helmet with tinted visor, otherwise people will think you strange wearing a sh&t eating grin all the time when you ride!

Hope this helps, and look forward to seeing some photos.

What year and model is your Duc - only asking for point of refence because if it really is at $7.5k in value then this should be an even swap with no money exchanged. I have seen a couple 06' 910's at exactly $7.5k (although they were listed higher - this was the negotiated price)
