Hid Issues

Wow this HID install has been one real pain in the ass. Long story short hid finally put on the bike worked fine for 2 months no issues then last week took the bike out for a ride with my buddy and the light kept going out when riding. Thought that it could be battery got a new one and no change. Now when I startup the bike it will flick on they go off or sometimes it will stay on and go off after about 15 secs. I am scared to order anything else becuase the kit that I have in there now just fit other kits I have tried were to short to get from mounting spot to the light itself. I am very tempted to just go back to the orginial bulb as hard as that would be after how good the hid looked and performed. Anyone with Hid experience please chime in.

there's no way its the battery as bike starts and runs fine
hids take most power on powering up about 6-8amps then droips to around 3-5amps depending on kit

me thinks its your ballast braking down the flat silver bit due to vibration or over heating
where have you mounted it
has it got wet is it a waterproof ballast and what kit is it
how long you had it also most kits come with atleast 1 years warrenty

life is not measured by the number of breaths we take
but by the moments that take our breath away

I have it mounted right underneath the ignition cover next to where the coolant goes in to the right side where there is some room.

Same thing happened on mine..though it was the ballast, but traded out the bulb and now it just flickers once or twice on start up and then stays steady
