rear bearing 1078

riding home today through some fast curves, noticed the line slightly changing with no input from me, at first i thought that maybe a pressure problem with rear tyre, at home checked rear tyre only to find the bearing had given up the ghost. Any other 1078 riders had this problem, i know it was an issue with earlier models thought they had fixed it.No big deal its warranty, just no riding this week.

No problems (so far) with the wheel bearing but did have some lateral movement with the rear drive sprocket.... you could grab the rear drive sprocket and push/pull it about 1-2mm laterally on the splined shaft even though everything was tight, nuts, cush rubbers etc. I read of it somewhere before (maybe a Ducati forum) and although thought to be OK I didn't like it and cured it by turning a shim washer on the lathe and fitting it on the hub shaft behind the sprocket assembly. Nothing to do with the wheel bearing though.
