Differences in OZ delivered Brutale

Hi there, well I did it!!

I bought the 910R yestarday & took her for the first ride, around 300klms in total.
I am now officially in LOVE!!!

I do however have a couple of questions about the Australian delivered Brutale's v's other market delivered models.

In the brouchure (online at; http://www.mvagusta.com.au/welcome/d...ale910R_EN.pdf )
it stipulates that the 910R (mine's a 2007 model) comes with "Rider and pillion passenger saddle in "Pieni Fiore" leather".

I am absolutely certain that the seat on mine is factory original, but is clearly made from some sort of vinal material, made to look like leather.

The brochure also states that the 910R comes with, amongst other things, "Racing exhaust with Eprom specialized".

I have had it confirmed in another thread that in Australia, these models were in fact NOT delivered with the racing exhaust & specialised EPROM.

Can anyone verify if this is actually correct & if there are any other differences to the Australian delivered bikes to what is stated in the MV blurb?

Nice bike, congrats.

Think your right. My 07 910R never came with the exhaust / eprom and seats exactly like yours. Was sold new in Brisbane.

Hi Dan,

Welcome to the world of hooligan riding. I bought mine new as well and it's exactly the same as yours. Disconnect the throttle return spring on the left hand sise of the bike, it makes it much easier to ride. I just had a PCIII installed as well, it really transforms the bike.

Next is an Arrow stubby exhaust.

Dave.

Firstly congrats on the new Brutale. I think that will be sought after model one day.

You are right, it is a leather look alike, not real leather seat.

Some (the first batch) came withouht the racing exhaust. The dealers when they recieved them (months later) did issue them out, but it all sort of just dried up, I don't know why. So some got it some didn't. You could check with the importer but I doubt it.

Don't worry they are great standard, on my Brute I just did away with the cat (simple and relaively cheap), not too loud and no other mods needed.

Enjoy, it is a special machine for sure.

Sales literature should say "leatherette"...as none of the seats are covered in actual leather.....I suppose it depends on the broad definition of leather.

US spec and Euro (to my best knowledge) bikes came with the race exhaust kit through 2007 (Euro2) model, but also cost a couple thousand more the the 2008 (Euro3) model which didn't include exhaust. I suspect your importer pocketed the exhaust kits to sell separately, thereby improving their margins....I hope they reduced the price to reflect that.

2007 and 2008 are relative designations, as the US seems to be one year behind the rest of the world. The Euro2 and Euro3 spec is the true differentiation.

I used to be fast....now I just dream about it.

Hi Dan,
i had one of the first 2006 910R's in the country ( Australia) and after a couple of months the Race Headers and chip turned up and was installed by the dealer, i also believe this was dropped from 2007 onwards.
