Metal radiator side shroud replacements

one of VERY FEW visual problems with the 910R.... is the metal shrouds on the SIDES of the radiator
- they look of INFERIOR quality
- the metal seems to pit and lose any kind of attractiveness..... ALMOST IMMEDIATELY

...................
who's changed it?
who's going to change it?
what did/will you put on?

any pictures...?

thanks in advance

They are not inferior in quality and doubt that they would pit. Well, if you don't take care of your bike then maybe. Don't know anyone who wouldn't take the best of care of their MV. Actually, I've thought about replacing them with CF but to be honest I like the contrast that they bring to the bike's colors. To each is own though.

they seem to get water spotted.... quite a bit
and several articles written about the bike seem to mention that those bits look "out of place" on the Brutale

if you experience has been otherwise..... i'm very glad

Hmm, no spotting problems here, and I happen to love they way they look. They make carbon replacement parts if you don't like the stock metal bits. But to be honest, I like the metal better than carbon in that area of the bike.

the problem for me is that..... THIS PARTICULAR METAL is completely different from any other on the bike..... it almost looks out of place to me

but......
maybe it's just me

On what bike have you seen this on? I have never noticed any problems on mine and they seem to be holding up pretty well after almost 4 months and a little over 2000 miles. Do you have pics of what you are talking about? Just curious to see what kind of pitting you are talking about so I can keep an eye out for it.

i'll have to take some pictures of the bike at the dealership as my bike won't be here for 2 more weeks (i hope)

i am, of course, probably WRONG about this issue... now that no one else has had this problem

You mean you aren't there now? You should ask for a key and the alarm code! Just like I told Odonata, the anticipation would kill me!
