ECU problems on older Brutale 750's

I have an '04 Brutale 750 and have blinker problems. I noticed in in this FS thread

member 'cdamb' mentions that the ECU's were problematic. I have had other intermittent electrical problems (rad cooling fan/water temperature sensor, ignition and a few others).

Is this a common issue? If so, where would I pick a replacement ECU and roughly how much would it cost?

I've just had to replace mine, not a fault as such because i shorted something out in it, new one is costing around £270. Apparently MV have made improvements on it since the first ones so hopefully a new one will cure any gremlins

PS mines a 04' 750 too and the part number i ordered with is 8000A9300
I hope it works, will let you know

Does my bum look fast on this?
