hi all i'm a newbie on this site Hope someone can give advice. I have a 920 2011 brutale which today started running on 3. when first fired up for a couple of seconds it runs on 4.
1 is there a way to test coil packs with ohm meter
2 can you connect an obd tester and will this identify the fault or is there any common problem which can cause this. No fault on display eveything ok.

Wink ?

I haven't looked at the manuals for the newer bikes......

But there is a great troubleshooting guide in the 1st Gen manuals

Coil problems are usually shown on self diagnostic, and would indicate which cylinder is having the issue on the info display. Start by measuring the battery. If you know how to check coils without injuring yourself, make sure all coils are within +-5% with each other. Does the 4th come back after some idling or immediately restarting when killed hot? Did you check your spark plugs?

Hope you can resolve it easily.
