idle

what rpms are your bikes idling at? I'm up around 16-1800 and think it to high.

how do you turn it down?

should be between 1.200 and 1.400 rpm

Have you made a change to intake or exhaust or both? A change in idle is a good sign your setup is off. Before just adjusting the idle screw I'd focus on the setup as a whole. With the setup off and just lowering the idle speed your abrupt throttle will be worse than ever.

Look at the tuning FAQ for steps 1 and 2.

FYI I have an Arrow's mid pipe and carbon exhaust. The bike has 600 or 800 miles on it. I made the exhaust changes 2-300 miles ago. The idel has always been 16-18 it didnt change with the pipe.
