990R Sport vs Normal mode and TC understanding (lack of)

First off, let me note that i have searched the forum and read some great posts on this subject:

http://www.mvagusta.net/forum/showthread.php?t=51445
http://www.mvagusta.net/forum/showthread.php?t=57970
http://www.mvagusta.net/forum/showthread.php?t=35227

So from my understanding, 0 is off and 8 is full. In standard mode, i checked the TC setting and it was 4, so i put that to 8 thinking I will only be using this when wet.. so effectively my Rain mode. And set it to something like 4 in Sport mode. Will these levels stay fixed for each mode?

My main question is tho.. what other things (beside TC) does the Sport vs Normal mode do?

I have noticed that the engine feels a little softer in Normal mode. Esp when passing in 6th gear.

Thanks!

Simon

Cheers, Simon

I did read this as well.. but interested to know how it acutally does this, hence my question above.

"There are two throttle mappings, sport and standard; the latter provides a less snatchy action to make the bike easier to ride around town. In sport mode the bike has more instant response, giving the throttle an almost trigger-like action."

I actually find that sport mode on my 1090rr is smoother and easier to drive around town. Better fuel economy too. Who knows?
