Question about 750 brutale.

Hi Everyone,
New member here. Looking for advice.
I am interested in a used 750 for sale 750.

2005 brutale S 750
Salvage certificate (not titled yet)
Been in storage for 10 years
Very low miles

I am thinking, the following items would also need to be changed very soon:

Tires (over 10 years old)
New battery
Does the fuel need to be flushed also, since it sat in the tank ?
Any other things I am missing ?
What's a fair price for this bike (I am in California) ?

Yup, and make sure it goes back in on it's side, do not get this wrong !!!

Yup, and you'll probably have to do the fuel line replacement and carbon canister removal as discussed elsewhere on the forum.
Any other things I am missing ?
Rear hub bearings, service or replacement.
What's a fair price for this bike (I am in California) ?

Can't help you on price, but from what I've seen probably not more than $5k

We use the phrase "battery on its side", but what is imprtant is that the negative terminal goes toward the front of the bike. If you get that wrong and attach the battery cables, you will have connected the battery with reverse polarity and that does bad things.

New battery With proper maintenance may endure for a season but I would not bet on it
Does the fuel need to be flushed also, since it sat in the tank ? Old fuel causes a lot more problems than just a bad performance, not worth the risk

Next:
- SPU unit is probably original, expect a variety of electrical problems
- oil change, especially if the engine is run periodically in the garage (it causes condensation)
- Check the chain tension (must be a little "loose")
- Check tightness of screws that hold the rear hub (not overtighten).
- Check the loose glass on the front light
- Original fuel hose connectors are plastic, they might break (become brittle)
- etc. but nothing really serious,

Nice 2006 910S in the for sale section at a very attractive price.....if you aren't heart set on a 750 that is.
