Tightening the mirrors - 2013 1090rr

Hi Folks I have a 2013 1090rr. The mirrors key moving on their stalks when I'm riding. I am having trouble tightening the stem bolt as its a cramped space made worse by the indicator wire running beside the nut. As a result it's impossible to get a socket or spanner onto the nut to tighten it. Any suggestions, anyone else experienced this problem?

Thanks

Phillip

I had the same problem the thickness of a proper socket doesn't help. I think a cheap box spanner would give you a bit more room, similar to the naff plug spanner we used to get in our tool kits.
