Brutale S Gearing?

I've just traded in my '04 Ducati Monster S4R on an '04 Brutale, and I was wondering what gearing changes other owners have tried. I haven't owned a 4-cylinder bike in several years, so part of my problem is psychological (it sounds like it's going to blow up when I ride on the freeway). What I'd like to find out is how high a gearing change I can get away with for normal street riding (I'm having a 15T countershaft sprocket installed next week).

I had the same problem in the begining... I use to have ducatis (750s, 888s, 748s, S4R) and riding a 4 cylinder was kind of strange, it doesn't pull strongly out of corners at 5000rpm... making the noise of 10000rpm... I'm begining to get used to it now, but added one touth to the rear sprocket on my F4, 2 may be even better.
If you want to change your gearing ration, go shorter (to get more reactivity and lose a bit of top speed).
Have a good ride

S4r

Glad to see two of you coming off S4R's. I've never had one, but that would have been another choice. I've wondered if I made the right choice with the Brutale because of the lesser torque. I do love the looks tho, and of course the intake music. I'll bet it holds a line better too. Fits me like a glove too.

my previous bike was a Cagiva Raptor 1000 (2003) with open exhaust pipes
man did that bike growl

i also wish it would make a bit more noise in lower rpm range
but get the kick out the fantastic and unique MV sound when pulling the handel

owyeah,
i ride the new brutale 910 with Gladio kit nr 35
