CRG Lanesplitters mounting strategy

I am looking to buy the CRG lanesplitters - in looking at pictures on this site, it looks like most people have moved the bar end out slightly, and then mounted the mirror between bar end and grip, on the bar end (I assume). Is this true? Did you have to trim the grips or throttle barrel?

Any mounting advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Just take out the bar end and you will get it. Very simple, nothing to cut. Just make sure throttle action is not bound up after you tighten it.

my mirrors are installed with adapters that take the place of the bar end.
