stock silencers with aftermarket header

does anyone know of a set up that allows you to use the stock silencers with an aftermarket midpipe

never mind. I just picked them up and had forgotten how heavy they are.

All you need George is the early stock pipes (non welded)........

Then you can change anything you want....... The stock cans are anchors

Hi,

A bit of an old thread but could you explain what you mean by using the old model header. Do you mean that you can use the 750/910/989/1078 headers on a 920/990/1090 model. If so do they fit straight on and do they cause any problems with the fuelling and exhaust sensors.

No. The old headers won't fit the new generation Brutale's.
From the 910R onwards (2008 I think), the headers were welded to the cat. Previously they were separate and joined with springs, so easier to fit a midpipe without having to cut the pipes.
