Talking Max speed

Does anyone know if the 155mph limit is just due to gearing or is it built in to the mapping ?Just wondering !

Discounting the wind (not air resistance) you hit the rev limiter at ~155.

I'd like to get on track or the salt flats to find out.

Personality is what you show of yourself daily.

Character is what comes out under adversity. (Think about that)

Why, I did it on a rural highway in the desert. Believe me, it gets there VERY quickly, esp. for a naked.

I'll tell you this...I did the same...deserted highway at about 2am chasing after a buddy on his GSXR 750....even if you've slowed down alot, don't sit up at 140mph

My ass was scooted all the way back, and my helmet was resting on the tank/keygaurd right behind the gauges. Surprisingly, you get hardly ANY wind turbulence in that position....

Kinda like that....cept my helmet was actually resting on the tank...

Yows, I wouldn't do it at night though, our headlights aren't that good.

The highway was JUST opened that day. Well, portion of the highway. So not many people knew it was open, we drove down it, back up, then blasted down it. it wasn't a flat. It was an overpass, a LONG flat stretch, then another overpass. So at the top of the 1st overpass, you could scope everything out, then gun it on the way down.....

Did ya know, I drove down the highway like that(not entirely at that speed) for about 40 miles total.....My commute to work is 14.5 miles of all highway. the next two trips, I crouched like that and I got 10 extra miles out of my tank of gas before the light came on... So, imagine if on a road trip, you crouch the entire time, we should be able to get around 130 miles before the gas light comes on....
