Who's found a "CURE" for the exhaust smell on their Brutale?

it's amazing how my BMW emits NO odor, whatsoever
yet, my Brutale makes makes me smell after only a short ride

remember...
i have a PCIII/USB on board, fairly well-tuned
'07 with racing 1/2 exhaust system (no cat/new mid-pipe and cans... MV Brand)

any thoughts?

thanks in advance

Try some N 5 perfume in your tank ? Or some "ricin oil" ?

Seriously, no idea, sorry !

Welcome back, Greg.

Does it smell only when you have ridden it or does it smell when warming up or sitting at idle? Perhaps you have a small exahust gas leak. Also is the vent tube from the tank disconnected?

I would bet your still running alittle rich. My stalling problem was due to being too rich. They reflashed the ecu and I got better mpg and less exhaust smell.

I love the smell of 100 octaine fuel. My daughter came out after a ride one day and said, "Dad what's that smell?". Thats perfume hun. All joking aside, I have no clue.
My bike has been tuned and mapped, I still get that smell.

The smell of a healthy engine.
Remember the good ol' days of big block V8's and 4 barrel carbs? Smell the gas!

The BMW is running so lean the heads are about to melt, good for mother nature bad for the engine. BMW also has a cat so it won't smell.

I can map a brute to smell like nothing, but the surgeing and overheating will kill you. Not designed as a lean burn engine.

thanks for the welcome back...
the smell is fairly irrelevant, of course...
except that all my clothes begin to smell like the BRUTALE.... once the jacket is back in the closet.... better leave it in the garage, i suppose....
