I've had my bike for almost 1 year with just about 3,000 miles and it's been in and out of the shop. 3 warranty issues, ecu, sprag, and servo motor. Plus numerous other small things, but inconvenient none to less. Is there any more issues I should be on the look out for? I'm considering selling if the issues continue.
Hi Jd, are they still manufacturing exhaust servos ? You are correct . no matter what brand motorcycle exhaust servos go bad . I think if Mercedes put exhaust servos in there cars they would go bad LOL.
Lewis , the members here know the MV brand like the back of there hand and are happy to help. Explain the issues in detail and they will have your bike sorted out Lewis you say you have ECU issues? do you have add on tuner like a Power Commander?
Sounds like every other Italian machine. Do you enjoy riding the bike? If not then sell and buy something Japanese.
To answer your question (in no particular order):
1. Grease the rear wheel hub as soon as possible. On mine, the grease hole in the bushing become blocked and nearly cost me the hub (I caught it in time so just cleaned and re greased)
2. Depending on your year model, there was a factory recall on the clutch hub.
3. Replace the stock battery to something better, there are numerous threads on this.
