Alternator removal


Does this the procedure work on the brutale dragster 800 rr MY15?

That's quite a long thread, so just skimmed through it.

The B3 stator is inside the left hand side of the motor underneath the ignition cover (the plate that says F3). It is not the same as the 4 cylinder bikes.

I think the B4 had an alternator that ran piggy back on the outside of the motor which doesn't apply on the 3 cylinder bikes which have it internally. (The guys with the 4 cylinder bikes correct me if I'm wrong).

To remove the stator on our bikes is pretty simply, just a few torx screws to remove the ignition cover. Its a bit of a faf to remove the cover as the magnets are pulling it shut against the motor, but pretty easy once you realize that and jiggle it off.
