I might have the F3 800 slipper clutch (just clutch, no plates/basked etc) for sale if you are interested in about 2-3 weeks. worked flawlessly but I switched to the Suter one

I just ordered my updated clutch housing from Evolutionbike, 94 euro plus 30 for shipping.

20 business days before dispatch due to the August summer break. Will post up once it arrives.

I’ll do the same once mine arrives.

I’m trying to get contact details of the UK distributor so I can put forward a case to highlight the issue over the inferior clutch basket.

My experience with MV hasn’t been a great one so far, from the point of sale to where I am now with the clutch issues.

Depending on how this clutch issue is resolved will determine whether I keep my bike.

I have been following the thread with interest after my own clutch basket disintegrated during my first track day.

My bike is currently in Moto Corsa after being diagnosed with a shattered clutch housing, I'm told i was lucky the damage was contained to the clutch however I'm still looking at a bill of £1200 for the damage.

Reading the info on this thread the new uprated clutch housing is a £95 part.
I feel a recall should have been done to replace this relatively cheap part.

Does anyone know when the uprated part was introduced as surely if the dealers knew about this issue it would have been advantageous to mention this during servicing, even if i had to pay for the part myself.

Your thoughts would be appreciated.

Regards

Stuart

My '15 800RR was manufactured 05/15 thus this part was available at that time. I do not know if it was used earlier.

Another interesting clutch housing. From "2018 dragster with Cnc Racing Clutch Cover" thread.

If all the damage was contained in the housing, then where did the 1200 pound damage come from (remember you mentioned that above earlier in the thread someplace)? The only damage I can see is the broken basket?

The new housing is 94 euro ...

Thats actually a good question!

I assumed the whole clutch would be in bad shape after the bits breaking off but even if that was the case, a whole new clutch is £464 not including clutch plates.

Ill ask them on Monday which parts they have ordered?

Why would you need to replace the whole clutch as its only the housing that is broken? They should take it apart and inspect, Id bet that the other parts dont need replacement.

You could possibly be right however Iím at the mercy of the bike garage.
When I put the bike to them I was expecting the worst(broken Valve etc) so to hear it was only clutch issues, I breathed a sigh of relief.

The dealer is about 100 miles away from me, I do have one about 15 miles away but I lost faith in them after I purchased the bike from them.

I had the bike serviced at MotoCorsa last year and felt they treated me fairly so I had the bike transported to them to diagnose the issues after my track day.
They have a good reputation which Iím relying on to give me a genuine assessment of the damage.

Iím going to call them Monday to ask why it is costing so much
