Radiator Fan F3

When is the fan suppose to turn on?

I think mine doesn't work.

I ran my bike in neutral on a stand until it was 1 bar over the middle line and the fan didn't turn on.

At the mid line. Mine usually turns on at the line, but sometimes 1 bar above the line. Probably after 2-3 minutes at that level, at the most

Probably comes on at around 210 F degrees and cuts off at around 190 F....... the bar gauge can be variable on any given bike. Let it sit there and idle until you get to 2 bars above center...I'll wager it comes on.

I used to be fast....now I just dream about it.

I got it to 2 bars over the middle, the Fan didn't turn on.

I turned of the motor and let the bike sit and it went up to 2 more bars sitting there with the motor off, which was all the way to max.

How does the bike go up 2 more bars when it isn't even running at all?!?!

Most likely due to the location of the temperature sensor. It is high in the system and heat rises. When forced circulation is lost (engine off) the heat just rises to the sensor.

Did the fan kick in when it was 4 bars over middle? If not then you definitely have an issue with the fan.

Yah, I am looking for a fan on ebay. Anyone know if a B3 or Draggster fan is compatible with a F3?

Are you sure its the fan? Have ypu tried testing it directly? A fuse or busted sensor might be a more likely cause.
The B3 fan should fit - check if its the same part number

Well, I replaced the water sensor in the radiator and I checked the fuse box on the side of the bike- if there is anything else to check than that I don't know about it.

Well, it looks like the dragster fan should work, the labels on the picture were the same as the f3.
