Throttle position issue

First i have an issue with the gear position indicator, sometimes it stays in N while i'm in 1st.

I have the "Throttle position" issue on my brutale 800 2014.
It happened after a day trip to Italy. The bike must have been nostalgic...

I've been driving maybe 30km slow speed along shore on the morning.
Return 20minutes on speedway 110-160km/h.

And when just out of speed way, no more power and error message : "throttle position".
I've driven back home 1km at low speed, limited power by the bike.

After it cooled down, i've started it to give a try.
Auto test was ok. Starts normally. Drives normally 2 blocks around the garage and then again same message.

This morning i gave a try again : no issue on auto test.
Went for refuel at gas station, no problem.
Started again from gas station : auto test ok. Mini drive around 3 blocks to go to my local motorbike garage : no issue.
But when i arrived at the garage i had to break a bit hard and error message appeared again.

It's a multi brand repair garage, Technician told me it could be a problem around gear lever, gear level indicator, shifter, something like that.

On the other thread someone mentionned it could be a wire that is damaged.

Any advise ?

Thanks.

Do you have a workshop with the diagnostic software available? Need to plug the computer in and see what detected trouble codes come up. OBD2 system can usually detail what is causing the fault code and "fail safe" mode.

Something is giving the computer (ECU) conflicting information and so the "ride by wire" throttles shut down to protect you.

I used to be fast....now I just dream about it.

New Site Garage
Funny... same thing started happening to me this week. My commute to work is 10 miles. This morning I had no issue but on my way back I got the error. Sunday I went to put gas and it gave me the error. Turn it off and on again and it seems fine..... But now I'm scared it's gonna leave stranded somewhere. :/ Keep us posted.

The gear position sensor is a warranty (recall?) item. It's not uncommon. A dealer should be able to replace for you for free, or if you're far from one you should be able to call them with your VIN and have them get the part and ship to you.
