Actually, vibration will continue the crack propagation.

I'd end-drill the crack, then seal the crack.

Thumbs up Cleaning?

Fishcookie;
Do you have access to an air compressor?
If so, take a 6-8" length of rubber hose and slip it over the end of the air
blaster and clamp it...... pinch the end so it fits the crack and blast away

Don't forget to remove the oil fill plug 1st

So, I decided to take the bike on a run to work and back today, and this saw its 3rd Starter Motor with new map heading to end of life quicker than I expected.
I managed to video it failing, seeing and hearing there's 100% power delivery in the uprated battery to save the Starter Motor, two attempts, but no start... If I had the original battery in I would have been stranded. The third attempt and she's on... Phew.
Two really good oil drips left the crankcase for the tarmac at work. It sure gets messy back there real quick.

On the up side, our lovely friends in Varese are saying they are going to help the Captain out, its great to see good communication direct from the manufacturer.
Let's see how it all pans out here on the other side of the world. Thanks for all your responses to my Dilema.

Which MV Agusta has a reliable Sprag Clutch similar to a Dragster RR? I can't do this 900kms round trip every nine months anymore...

Part of the Sprag Issue is the ECu programming for the engine start. If you get the updated Sprag, which all of them should be by now, you also need the latest ECU mapping installed form your dealer.

Indeed, that's what makes it more of concern silentservice703. The new map is in my bike.

How and the hell do you get good communication direct from the manufacturer? I finally got ahold of someone that gave me the same generic answers and push offs to other parts of company. “An email should be sent sometime this week.” So sick of this company and it’s not taking care of its customers. Seen it over and over on these forums. Time to invest in another company that actually takes care of its customers after they’ve got your money from initial purchase. Very sad to see

The time difference is tricky. I've contacted MV Agusta four times this week with responses by the next morning. I would say that is good communication.

It might have to do with attitude.

@Fishcookie, where are you on this planet?

@Fishcookie, I will give you that you are certainly on a Different Planet!

My wife and I, along with @esq'z me (Ed) and his now wife Pam, had the lovely opportunity to explore your planet for three weeks with a friend from Palmerston North. @The_castle (Dave and Melanie).

Beautiful country, really. Nice people...extraordinary actually. It is the first place I have been outside of the USA where I felt like I could have stayed and been very happy.

I am looking forward to the return visit.

Chuck
