All battery tenders come with a wire loom and connector that attaches to the battery. You just have to figure out convenient routing for easy access. Many people put it under the seat. I think MV's factory installed tender harness connection is under the seat.

I have routed mine to a convenient spot that can be connected without opening the seat.

If you are shopping for a tender I highly recommend the NOCO Genius 1100. The latest version also has a setting for Li batteries.

I used to be fast....now I just dream about it.

Both MV's I've ridden haven't had issues caused by battery.
I ride every weekend here in California.
The Gen 1 F4 Came with the same Yuasa battery as my F3, as far as I can tell.
The 3cyl platform is plagued with sprag issues. If not for that, the stock battery would have probably been fine.
If I rode the MV once a month, or less, I'd probably keep it on the tender, especially in colder temperatures.
