Oil Drain Plug Hex Key Size

Hi All,

Planning to do an in-between service oil freshen up on my F3

Been studding the service manual and I can't find the hex key size for the oil drain plug (I'm not currently near the bike to check).

I'm going to purchase a hex key socket as there is no way I'm going to undo/re-tighten the sump bung to 40Nm with an allen key.

Can anyone advise the size of the hex key required for the oil drain plug?

Thanks in advance

CT

Thumbs up ?

unfortunately for you from what I understand, the triples don't come with a toolkit,

it's a hex socket use the 60° 1-2-√3 rule ...the diagonal should be 5 x 1.732 mm

if it's a 10mm hex

On the three cylinder platforms the sump plug is 8mm hex, smaller than the four cyl bikes which is a 10mm hex.
