Thumbs down Missing a bloody O ring

2104 F3 675.
If you have had a replacement gear position sensor and the awesome technician that installed the unit forgets to put the O ring back onto the unit this is what happens. It bloody spills oil back onto your lower cowl and onto your bloody tyre.

Hope you let the dealer know mate, sometime the "technician" is just an apprentice who needs a kick up the arse.

Sadly with most of the mechanics cum technicians out there that's how it is.

$6.00 and very smart decision saul! Now you KNOW it's done right. Glad it worked out well for you.

I am spending a small fortune building a mechanical workshop under my house behind the garages, once finished none of bikes will ever see outside 'surgery' every again for any reason (including engine/gear box rebuilds if need be)! I am lucky to be somewhat handy myself and have a son who is a proper ( ) motorcycle technician who can fill the blanks when I am stuck.

The stories he tells me from stuff he's seen makes the hairs stand on my neck - scary stuff. A small thing like yours could have turned out catastrophic in a different set of circumstances, I know you fixed it but you should let those dickheads know solely as a favour to the next guy if nothing else.

Cheers

May I become your neighbour??

What a beast of a motorcycle!
It growls and rages and flies across the tarmac like a wild animal that has escaped the confinement of a cage and after merely waiting restlessly until the release, will not endure being locked up ever again.

Skye I miss you. L'essentiel est invisible pour les yeux.
