Rivale Clutch Switch malfunction warning

I was riding to work today, the warning message "stop engine clutch switch malfunction" popped out, I pulled over stop the engine and restarted, the warning remained, I kept riding not thing happened, the bike was running normal, after I got to my office, waited few minutes, had it restated, the warning went away.......

I did change the clutch lever the night before, I didn't touch anything else, I don't think the new lever would cause any trouble, but I thought I should mention, any one had this problem before please share, thanks

There's a switch in your clutch perch that's not touching your new lever properly - you'll probably find that your quick shifter doesn't work now (it only works if the lever is fully released and the switch is pressed in).

Perhaps adjust the play out of your clutch lever and if the problem remains revert to your old lever.

Thanks for your input, I'll check on the lever.

The same exact thing happened to my F3 675 today. I kept riding it until I got to a safe place to stop, turn off the engine and let it sit with a while. After about ten minutes, I started it again and the warning went away. I did replace the lever recently with an aftermarket part, after my 12-year old nephew dropped the bike trying to help me.
