Turn key and keeps blowing #1 fuse

Hey, guys, recently picked up a heavily neglected but very low mile '07 F4 1000R. Did a beautiful resto on her. Last night I started her and within 5 seconds she shut down. Went to restart and nothing. I turn the key and keep blowing #1 fuse on right side of bike. Fuel pump primes but nothing else. Read about a diode on the back of the general relay but doesn't seem to be one. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi "House', so if you say #1 fuse I assume you mean the fuse that controls dash, horn, indicators and speed sensor.
Meantime, if you go through the drawing, you will see it feeds many other very important parts.
You'll have to do a bit of a search, but it sounds like something's pinched.

If the fuel pump primes, the diode should be okay.

I did replace the front sprocket cover earlier that day. I suppose I could have pinched the speed sensor wire. Thanx, Donsy, I'll check it in the am.
