Never Raced, Thrashed or Ridden in Rain (...not!)

Hi all,
Just got back from trip around France where the weather was a mix of ok to torrential. Pics below show the state of my pride and joy when I got home.
I think the term used and abused could be attributed to the trip.
I will scribe a few words to tell how the R faired against a brace of GSXR 1000's, Fireblade, Busa, and 1098 etc. but essentially the girl did good! What have I done to her though....got to clean her up a bit!!

Just a flavour of the trip...we did many swaps of bikes, and one highlight was seeing an indicated 188 whilst on my mates GSXR....with my MV in the mirrors right up behind me....(not that I could see much!!)

We covered around 2k kms in all but were only over there for a few days, enough to have fun though!

Hi, was wondering if you had any concerns with the running temperature whilst on your travels?

none at all....got bit hot in the nether regions a few times...!
However, on warm days when we were thrashing, I always killed the engine by the kill switch and let the fan do its business for a few mins before switching off by key. I'm pretty sure that the incidents of fans melting are when the fan is stationary after hot running...and in much hotter climates than we are currently experiencing. This method of switch off will also help prevent boil over.

i hate it when people use their MV as a garage ornament. waste of a bike if u ask me. Tont keep doing what u do man, set a good example for those mv riders who have a bike that 4 years old with only 2000 miles on it. lol
