HELP! Need History Verification on my MV

Having recently bought my 750 F4, I have been told it has an interesting history. My bike is serial number 007 for the year 2000. I have been told that this is the FIRST MV F4 to hit the US shores! It was apparently purchased for display at the Daytona Speedway Museum (address is on original title). Since I am not familiar with history of these bikes, is there anyone that might be able to validate that info for me? At least as to the first year of US release for the original F4?

I'd say someone here might know but you should be able to find out if you ring the distributor.

First year in the U.S. was definitely 2000. I originally placed a deposit in March 2000 for an MV and was number 6 at Renaissance Motorcycle (Tucson, AZ) list. That bike came in early December 2000. I suspect their first shipment came around August or September 2000.

I think Cagiva USA would be able to tell you.

I was wrong. The first U.S. deliveries took place in May 2000:
