HELP! starter solenoid & manual

I am a new member of the MV Agusta family and I have gotten off to a terrible start. I just purchased the F4 1000 1+1 and it needed a new battery. When I installed the new battery I wasnt paying attention and put it in with (+) and the (-) on the wrong sides. The battery sparked and obviously the bike wouldn't start. The resulting damage that I have found is it blew the 40a master fuse on the right and the 7.5a "Master & switch, relay, dashboard". I replaced both fuses but the bike still wont power on at all and it keeps blowing the 7.5a fuse. I am assuming I killed the starter solenoid that holds to 40a master fuse, but it still on the outside looks flawless. Are there any other ideas of what could be wrong? Does anyone know of a good place (other than my local dealership) to get a new solenoid? and lastly is there anyplace on the web I can download a repair manual for the 1000, I have one for the 750.

New Site Garage
I can tell you exactly what you did, b/c i just did it no more than a month ago. there is a tiny diode that is coming out of the back of the area the 40A fuses are, it is tucked in some rubber sheeting. that diode will have to be cut out and a new sodered back in its place. if you look for a thread titled "popping fuses like popcorn" a number of guys on the board give me really good directions to correct the problem. Good luck and hope this helped!
