NEW MV OWNER!!! and already i have a question

hi guys, i just got my first MV and im as happy as can be, i rode it home from bakersfield, and that was the most UNcomfortable 100 miles i have ever enjoyed!!!! this thing is all i expected it to be.

im going to put a hid system on my bike, i was wondering if anyone knew what type of bulbs the 2005 F4-1000s uses for high beam and low beam?

and also, are there any threads on cutting open your stock exhaust and modifying it to sound like a full open exhaus and re welding it? any tips or pics would help.

oh and does the odo on this thing have a trip counter? or only total milage?

Congrats on the new bike and welcome to the forum. There are a couple of detailed threads with pics covering the stock exhaust mod and there are kits available for HID from eMoto (and elswhere), there was also a thread recently that showed an installation where you can hide the ballast.

2 trip counters, but get this .. while its running use the starter button to rotate between total kms, trip 1, trip 2, time.

To reset trip, hold starter till it blinks, release then press for a sec.

I know this sounds stupid to the regulars...but that bike belonged to a forum member.

C'mon American guys help me out here,I dont remember this guys name.
He did a lot of mods to that bike,it should be top notch as it came.
MV2ENVY I wont forget that name,I wanted that for my private plates, seems there is someone in West OZ with it instead.

The low beams are H3 bulbs I wouldn't bother about HID for hi beam.
