tail light/brake light upgrade?

Any one have a recommendation for changing the tail light/brake light bulb on the F4? The 12w/5w sure is dim. I don't want to change the stock setup.

I trimmed and reloacted my plate and did the Clear Alternatives integrated tail/brake/turn signal. Worrks pretty good. Better than the same setup I have on my 996

I appreciate the posts, but I'm not strong on the clear lens. Being old school, I like the look of the red plastic lens. I was trying to source a brighter bulb.

Carl,

I agree with you. I prefer the red lenses. Tell us what you do for upgrading the bulbs.

For my first trick I went to the parts store and bought every bulb that looked like an 1157 (dual filiment, 12v, dual post) Bulb number 2357 seems the best. The running is about the same as stock, maybe a tad brighter, but the brake light looks twice as bright.

Each package contains 2 bulbs and costs $1.50. The cheapest MV upgrade in history.
