Dealer is telling me the 1000R in going to be replaced

with the new 312 anyone else hearing this? I was thinking of upgrading to one but after seeing some reviews there doesn't seem to be much difference unti you hit 170 and I don't get there very often.

Looking at the specs on both, I cant see a real valid reason to upgrade from the R to the 312.
The S to the R - for sure

of course it's true
no need to make the "R" now that the 312 is here....
and it's not that much more money

how about this:
(yes, old news, too)
the ONLY Brutale being made now is the 910R

so.....
2 different F4 bikes and only 1 Brutale
why on earth would THAT be?

But they are going to release the orange one, and everyone says that it won't be based on the 910R, so what will it be (S?R?RS?)

I must have read five bike mags yesterday at the local book store and all had mini-blurbs about the 312's being homologation specials for AMA Superbike and WSBK superstock and not a replacement for the R. It mentioned a number of around 150 examples of the 312 so I don't know if it is a direct replacement.

good point.... not sure
we all would like to believe that MV is very financially solvent
but.....
if they really are only going to make 2 bikes (only 1 model of each)
that really doesn't sound too good...... does it?

If that were true then they'd be numbered with a placque, right? I doubt MV would pass up the opportunity for *another* limited edition mass wallet-rape.
