So it begins...

Okay, soI get my new F41000 to the shop and have an EPRON, midpipe and RG3 exhaust installed. Bike runns good, but seems to be making a slight lifter noise. The dealer tells me that it is the fuel injectors and that they all make this noise. SOund right??

Can you explain the sound in a bit more detail, is it all the time? certain rpm?

Pretty much thru the power band. Dealer says it's the fuel injectors. Slight ticking. Changes speed with the change in rpm. No louder, just changes speed.

The dealer must have really good hearing to hear the injectors though out the rev range with RG3!!!!

Were you reving the motor in gear or not in gear to hear the so call injector noise?

I would get the dealer to check out the timing chain guide/tensioner thingy. Sorry I can't remember the exact name for this part as my brain is a bit fuzzy from all that drinking last night!!!

Slow is smooth and smooth is fast!!

It tends to be more pronounced while riding, throughout the power range. It's a ticking noise, more notiable when rolling off the throttle. That's why I don't think it's the injectors.

more than likely not the injectors or EVERYBODY would hear that. and if you are hearing it more pronounced when the engine is under load than i would say it's something else like...valve tap. but that's a very loose guess based on what you've said so far. how many miles on it? could need a valve adjustment.

2200 miles. I also believe it's a valve
