What if any has been problems with the 1000S

And does it help to replace just the mid pipe and if I do this what would I gain and what would I need to do? Would I need to add anything to make it run better? Were there any of the fuling issues or anything else funkey

I removed the Cat from the mid pipe on my bike before I made any other mods. It made the bike run a bit cooler IMO and there were no problems associated with fuelling etc. I didn't notice any great performance improvements but as the bike was presumably factory set up with the Cat as part of the equation there might have been more of an improvement if I had got someone to adjust the air/fuel mix to take into account the missing Cat. As I was planning other mods (Ti exhaust, PCIII and changing air filter) anyway I decided to wait until I had done all these things before changing mapping.

Sorry if that only serves to confuse you but in short I think changing the mid pipe or removing the Cat in your existing pipe is a worthwhile mod.

I changed mid pipe and rear pipes on my F4. But I did chnge only my mid pipe on the Brutale. What I found with that was it gave a nicer deeper sound down low to mid range and seemed to make the mid range even more responsive. I was so happy with it, I did not put any other pipes on. I did no fuelling or tuning mods and it ran perfectly. I hope this helps.
